Construction background

The high-speed aluminum passenger catamaran "Beiyou 26" for Beihai Ennova Cruise Co., Ltd.  has been completed by Aulong, and it is ready for sea trials. It is reported that the vessel will be operated between the route of Beihai Passenger Port to Weizhou Island, which can carry thousands of passengers every day.

"Beiyou 26" is a high-speed aluminum passenger catamaran with L.O.A of 70.6m, capacity of 1,200pax, speeds up to 31 kn and waterjet propelled.

This ship is a large luxury high-speed passenger ship designed for the characteristics of the sea conditions in the Beibu Gulf. The entire ship follows the world-leading technology and processes of Austal, with reasonable interior space layout, wide visibility and excellent speed, seakeeping performance, security and comfortability. As one of the busiest tourist passenger sea routes in China, it can operate for about 300 days each year. The passenger volume of this route has reached more than 2 million pax with an annual growth rate of nearly 20%. "Beiyou 26" will not only greatly improve the tourist transport capacity of Beihai to Weizhou Island and provide more efficient and advanced services for tourists, but also improve the development status of Beibu Gulf coastal tourism.
